Radoil Serafimov (b. 1988, Bulgaria) graduated in Painting from Veliko Tarnovo University “St. St. Cyril and Methodius” in 2012.
In his artistic practice, Serafimov explores the relationship between perception and reality, creating a distinct painterly materiality that bridges the conscious and the subconscious. Through associative and intentional processes, he develops themes where visual meanings, narrative forms, and metaphors intertwine, driving the evolution of his work.
His paintings often emerge from the tension between what is seen and what is felt, transforming familiar images into new contexts of space, action, and emotion. Serafimov’s work reflects a deep curiosity about existence, time, light, and the boundaries between the visible and the invisible.
With a fluid and open-ended approach to painting, he allows each composition to evolve beyond its initial impulse, inviting multiple interpretations and new possibilities. In his hands, painting becomes not just a medium, but a field of continuous transformation and discovery.
