Svetlana Mircheva graduated from the National Academy of Arts in Sofia. She took Olafur Eliasson's class at IUAV, Venice. With her project “Mistakes she won the International Media Art Prize of ZKM, Karlsruhe. She won artistic residences in 1646, The Hague; KulturKontakt, Vienna; Radar, Venice, London. Mircheva has participated in numerous group exhibitions, among others in The National Art Gallery, Sofia; Structura Gallery, Sofia; U10 Gallery, Belgrade; Kunsthalle Zurich; Haus Wittgenstein, Vienna; Vienna Contemporary; Studio Voltaire, London; Kunsthalle, Basel; Temporary Contemporary, London; Radar, Venice.
