Rats in the walls, degeneration, cannibalism... Мonsters can always be scarier. Reality creates the horrors. The forces of decay sow decay. Dark forces love great minds. Evil is rooted in good because it’s the least of the horrors that can be encountered."

An ever-changing response to social trauma, the Gothic and comics concern themselves with the excluded Other. Intellectually marginalized, both have been deemed to be literary junk food. An intricate connection then is formed between the two; a connection that examines contemporary culture, its values and the propaganda in mass media, offering an excess of style, disembodied perspectives and authenticity.
