"Sofa chronicles" explores the inner experiences that navigate the complexities of urban life as we live it today. It offers an introspective examination of each individual's significance in our shared, yet often painful and isolated, existence. The exhibition delves into the paradox of our connectedness, frequently coupled with a sense of loneliness.
In oil on canvas, Arbnor Karaliti delicately depicts subjects as anticipated and recognizable characters, finding their place in the infinite expanse of space and time, as metaphysical manifestations of our being. Each work is a poignant reflection on the causes and consequences of human isolation in the dynamics of modern life.
Arbnor creates a visual narrative that captures the multi-layered nature of isolation in his hushed images. Each painting may or may not depict our insecurities. The enclosed spaces in these paintings pose questions that no one expects answers to.

Arbnor Karaliti is a Kosovo-born artist who works with painting and experiments with various mediums in a continuous process of learning about himself through art. His work is influenced by personal experiences as well as existential issues, including isolation, and various social taboos. Process-oriented, he works in consecutive stages; when painting, he first sketches a red line on the canvas, which he refers to when placing his subjects – often his friends, flat mates and fellow artists – and composing their surrounds. Seeking to prompt discussion, he also works with new media, creating research-based installations tailored to specific institutional contexts, frequently produced in close cooperation with generational peers.
